Is this Korean Fried Chicken Worth It?

Coqodaq has quickly taken over NYC’s fried chicken scene with their amazing interior, their extensive champagne cellar, and of course their fried chicken. With their “bucket list” deal of $38 per person, it is a great price! In the “bucket list” deal you get a bucket of the original chicken and a choice between their gochujang glaze or their soy garlic, along with a side of cold noodles, soft serve ice cream, and banchan (side dishes)! Do not sleep on their scallion salad, because eating this with the chicken is delicious. With the original fried chicken, they give you a variety of sauces from their BBQ to salsa verde but I loved the salsa verde best. The soy garlic was probably my favorite and one of the best ones I have tried in the city. But is it worth the 3-hour wait list or the constant hitting of the refresh button on Resy, praying for a table? I do think it is worth trying once, but maybe wait until the hype dies down a bit, and getting a table is not such a hassle.

They also have some very fun items for you social media girlies like their “golden nugget” which is their nugget with a scoop of caviar which I won’t lie was giving high-end McDonalds nuggie with caviar. Something interesting about Coqodaq though is they have the biggest champagne cellar in the US! So if you get in, it calls for a celebration and bubbles. The one thing I love about this place is how well their prices range. Whether you want to splurge or save some dollars it is very flexible.

“The Golden Nugget”

The final consensus is, yes it was worth going but only if you can get a resy, because waiting 3 hours for korean fried chicken, no matter how delicious is NOT WORTH IT!
