Easy Fall Chili Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground turkey
1 large carrot
1 onion
1 big scoop of minced garlic
2 bell peppers
1 poblano pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 cup of water (if needed to make chili less thick!)
1 can kidney beans
2 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon cumin
salt & pepper to taste
HOW TO MAKE IT
In your chili pot sauté your chopped peppers, carrot, minced garlic and onion w oil, adding salt and pepper. (3-4 min)
Add your ground meat (I chose turkey for a leaner option), add your seasonings, and break up the meat.
Let it all cook for 5-7 min on medium-high heat.
Add your tomato sauce and water if the consistency is too thick for your liking and give it a nice stir.
Add more salt and pepper, add your can of kidney beans, and stir.
Let simmer on a medium-low heat for 45 minutes and stir occasionally. (add more seasonings to your taste and stir)
Serve with cheese on top and a dollop of sour cream to enjoy on your next cozy fall night!
