Easy Fall Chili Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1 large carrot

  • 1 onion

  • 1 big scoop of minced garlic

  • 2 bell peppers

  • 1 poblano pepper

  • 1 can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup of water (if needed to make chili less thick!)

  • 1 can kidney beans

  • 2 teaspoon chili powder

  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 2 teaspoon cumin

  • salt & pepper to taste

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. In your chili pot sauté your chopped peppers, carrot, minced garlic and onion w oil, adding salt and pepper. (3-4 min)

  2. Add your ground meat (I chose turkey for a leaner option), add your seasonings, and break up the meat.

  3. Let it all cook for 5-7 min on medium-high heat.

  4. Add your tomato sauce and water if the consistency is too thick for your liking and give it a nice stir.

  5. Add more salt and pepper, add your can of kidney beans, and stir.

  6. Let simmer on a medium-low heat for 45 minutes and stir occasionally. (add more seasonings to your taste and stir)

  7. Serve with cheese on top and a dollop of sour cream to enjoy on your next cozy fall night!
