Ruby’s TOP 3 MUNCHIES!

Round K by Sol

If you’re looking for a cute daytime spot to visit in Lower East Side, you got to check out Round K by Sol. A literal hole in the wall, this small shop sells drinks and baked goods in the front while offering delicious Korean-fusion dishes in the back. Their lattes are innovative (with flavors like butter corn or ube) and their foods pay homage to Korean flavors. My favorite bites were the Seoul Braised Pork Belly and Fried Chicken Sandwich — both so different from one another and packed with intense flavors. They do stay open late Fridays through Sundays and serve alcohol if you’re also looking for a place to chill at night.

Jade & Clover

This newest bar just opened up in Chinatown and it’s now one of my top bars in NYC. Jade and Clover offers a fusion of Irish and Asian flavors in their drinks & foods. The vibes are intimate and luxurious with Chinese apothecary vibes. Every single cocktail I got was amazing. My favorite drinks were the Jade (love pandan), the Cá Phê Ailen (Vietnamese coffee with a dark chocolate truffle) & the 139 Chrys-tea. They also sell a good variety of small bites and dim sum. How did I not know that dumplings work so well as a drinking food? Get the mala fries along with some other shareable bites over a round of drinks, you’ll soon understand the hype.

Maison Pickle

Maison Pickle is a classic American restaurant on the Upper West Side known for their outrageously delicious portions. My favorite dishes to get are the garlic pull-apart bread, hot honey chicken toast and steak and eggs (but you have to get their pickles, it’s in the name!!). I do prefer this spot for brunch (they have a great brunch cocktail menu) but the vibes are just as great and luxurious at night for dinner. Plus, they have the best & most decadent 24-layered chocolate cake that is to die for!!
