The Charm of Clark Street

Isn’t it everyone’s dream to live in a brownstone in Brooklyn Heights? The charm of Clark Street in Brooklyn Heights is not only entitled to its beautiful buildings and apartments with mini-golden doodles and families galore, it is also owed to its long time neighborhood diner, Clark’s Restaurant.

I’ve learnt over the past few years that the cure to Sunday Scaries is to have the coziest and most relaxing Sunday that you possibly can, and that is the feeling that you will get when you start off your day at Clark’s. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed by the staff, with the dark wood dining tables and decor making you feel right at home. The best feeling when you go to a restaurant, in my opinion, is when the service is quick and friendly [and cost effective], especially when you’re starving and recovering from the night before.

Their menu is an all day menu ranging from breakfast platters, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and needless to say, every item is filled with flawlessness. My personal favorites are their French toast - the perfect texture of fluffiness, just the right level of sweetness that you don’t go home and immediately want to go to the gym - paired with their black coffee with a dash of milk. The locals aren’t the only ones who favorite and frequent this diner, as many come from far and wide to experience the quaintness and charm that it has to offer.

Despite trying multiple diners in the 5 boroughs, I would gladly stand by my decision with Clark’s being my favorite for endless reasons.
