  2. Shanghai 21

  4. King Dumplings

  5. China North Dumpling

Fu Zhou Wei Zhong

Underneath the Manhattan bridge, you can find the last standing restaurant inside the once busy broadway mall. They offer a variety of Fuzhounese dishes like dumplings or soups that are made right to order. Our go to order are the small steamed buns which come with 6 dumplings, all for 5$. When you get them, they come out steaming and juicy so be careful when you take a bite because that first bite is quite literally an explosion of flavor!

We like to think of them as a soup dumpling in bun form.

Shanghai 21

You’ve probably passed this spot a million times during your strolls in chinatown and theres a reason as to why they’re always packed! They offer delicious Shanghainese food that people can dine in or take out. You come for the perfect soup dumplings - thin skin with packed juicy filling. But if you’re looking for something spicy and with a punch of flavor, we highly recommend their szechuan style wontons! They're wontons topped with their chili szechuan sauce is UNBELIEVABLE. These wontons are Milly’s personal go-to order from Shanghai 21.

Super Taste

Another classic gem in Chinatown, expect fresh dumplings and noodles every time you order because the chefs in the back never stop doing their crafts. They’re very generous with the portions for their food (especially with their affordable prices)! Their fried dumplings can save lives (especially with that soy sauce/chili oil combo). But whether you get the steamed dumplings or fried DON’T FORGET THE CHILI OIL! Their chili oil adds the perfect amount of spice to your dumplings. To some this may seem as a trendy tiktok spot in chinatown but let us tell you…

IT HAS TRENDED FOR A REASON, and has been here MUCH LONGER THAN TIKTOK.

King Dumplings

A popular dumpling spot in Chinatown that’s included in everyone’s chinatown tours. Find every kind of dumpling here - fried, boiled, in soup, etc, but they’re all consistent in one thing: the thickness of their skin.

Some people may say that it’s too thick but if you like a bouncy, chewy skin this is your spot to check out!

China North Dumpling

A quiet gem in Chinatown with loud flavors. They offer all the comfort favorites — noodle soups, pancakes - but def grab some dumplings for your meal. I’d say this spot filling flavor is most different than the rest. Their filling definite main star is their herbs and ginger balanced well with the pork which was new and unique.

The space is small but mighty with their flavors!
