A Fall Hug
INGREDIENTS
1-gallon apple cider
1 cup of apple brandy
3 Honey crisp apples
1 orange
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
5 to 7 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup brown sugar
HOW TO MAKE IT
Pour the apple cider into a large pot and set over medium-high heat.
Dice up the apples, peel large pieces of the rind off the orange, and then toss them into the cider.
Add the cranberries, cinnamon sticks, and brown sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce and let simmer for 1 hour.
Add the brandy, then simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes. Serve warm and top with apple slices and a cinnamon stick to be festive.
