Parmesan On Espresso Martinis?

Okay before you judge… TRY IT. I promise, you will be happily surprised! I really do not understand how this combo became a trend but honestly I am glad I tried it. Freshly grated parmesan reggiano on an espresso martini is definitely unusual but a delectable surprise! It has a perfectly sweet and savory taste profile that balances with the bitterness of the espresso. The cheese adds the salty component which balances the sweetness of the coffee liqueur and really elevates this cocktail. This is the perfect treat for a fellow cheese lover like myself as well as a great conversation starter at a dinner party.

I promise if your party was silent before, this will bring a conversation out of your guests!

INGREDIENTS

1 OZ ESPRESSO

1 OZ KAHLUA (COFFEE LIQUEUR)

2 OZ VODKA

PARMESAN REGGIANO FRESHLY GRATED

CHEESE GRATER

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Grab your cocktail shaker and fill it with ice.

  2. Next, pour in your espresso, kahlua and vodka into your shaker.

  3. NOW SHAKE!!!

  4. Strain into a glass and grate your parmesan reggiano cheese on top!
